3 Signs You Are Ready To Start Your Own Consulting Business

Today I'm going to share with you three signs that it may be time for you to take all that experience that you have been gaining and accumulating and start your own Consulting business.

There are many other signs that it may be time for you to start something new and to create something of your own. Today I’m only sharing 3 signs to help you identify if you’re experiencing one of these signs because you may be more ready than you think.

SIGN #1: FEELING BORED OR FRUSTRATED

You may be bored in your J-O-B. that's right you may have been at this job for quite a while and you are doing the same thing over and over and over again especially if you’re in the accounting and tax profession, it’s sort of like reliving Groundhog’s Day.

You're bored and you've been there done that and you're starting to feel like you're falling into a big old RUT, and with that boredom comes some frustration because you're not moving up that corporate ladder as quickly as you thought nor are you getting promoted. You keep getting bypassed for whatever reason.

Think about the experiences you've gained and you start to think that maybe, just maybe, it's time for you to start your own CONSULTING business

SIGN #2: YOU’RE THE BEST KEPT SECRET AT WORK

You're the go-to person in your department, the best-kept secret in the company for that ONE thing that people go to you for. When you’re known as the expert in that ONE thing, you become top of mind as the go to person and are so easy to refer others to you.

When YOU are the person your colleagues and coworkers refer to or asking for your help, THIS would be another sign that you have a specialty that you can then package up, price it and sell to others as a consultant.

SIGN #3: YOU ARE CRAVING SOMETHING OF YOUR OWN

You're starting to think about what it would be like to build something of your very own what would it be like for you to create a service offer that you're excited about? An offer that will earn money and allow you to work with clients that you are excited to work with? Can you imagine having your own consulting business where you get to set your own hours? Create your offer, price it, deliver it, earn money while doing it?

So there you have it, these are 3 signs you may be ready to start your own consulting business. Let me clarify one thing: when I say you can start your own Consulting business, this could be as simple as you becoming an independent consultant. Taking all that experience that you have built up and accumulated over the years to then go out and start your own business.

So start thinking about what's going on with you and see if you can identify what sign is coming up for you that it may be time for you to start creating something of your very own.
